VDO 2: Student Life in Thailand by Kaja Kubicka
The concept of my video is to show, through the narrative parts as well as the visual clips, the highlights of my experience living and studying abroad in Thailand, as well as my everyday life in Bangkok, and share my thoughts on what is it like to be an international student in Thailand and what I learned through this experience.
In 2016 I made the decision to go and study abroad in Thailand, and it turned out to be one of the most amazing and life-changing experiences of my life. I stayed at a place called Nonsi, located on a quiet street, surrounded by palm trees and roosters. It was a calm area, and in the evening all international students would spend a lot of time in our local street food restaurants just enjoying Thai food and sharing our experience of living in Thailand. On the weekends we would travel and explore Bangkok, and during the week we would go to school. Being a university student in Thailand, having Thai friends and teachers was a great experience, and I enjoyed wearing Thai uniform, which made me feel like I belonged in Thailand. Overall, my semester abroad in Thailand was an amazing experience which changed me a lot as a person. The Thai mentality and positivity, influenced me a lot and I learned to appreciate the moment and enjoy the small things in life. The memories I made in Thailand will always be very dear to me, and I would definitely highly recommend studying abroad in Thailand to other students.
